Originally the fishing district of Seville, Triana has been
tied to Seville by several bridges spanning the Guadalquivir river.
Triana has lots of bars where one can buy pescaito frito which is
deep fried fish and there are places like Kiosco de las Flores is
one of the city’s best restaurants. Triana has a real 1930s
atmosphere with a great traditional feel to the place compared to
the over crowded cities around Spain.
The Tapas bars close around midnight and so for late drinks, the
city is full of pubs, night clubs and cafe terraces. The left bank
area of the Guadalquivir river is the best place to go for a drink
in the Summer time. There are lots of terraces and the most famous
would be the Galeria Torneo.
Around Winter time, a popular spot would be the Plaza de Salvador
which is a cool place to hang out with venues around there like
the Alcaiceria, or maybe check out the Alfalfa neighbourhood
where the
Sopa de Ganso is located, and places further afar from the historical
district would be Los Remedios or Viapol, that had lots of pubs
and cafe terraces like the Flaherty and the Aduana which offers
great
music and a diverse range of drinks and serves into the early hours
of the morning.
